Mass of the Furnishings

The furnishings are defined as all the mass on the inner surface of the colony, excluding the atmosphere. The G of 16% of PA (or 8,128 Pa) is the load of these furnishings. Since this load is providing a centripetal acceleration of 9.8 m/s², the furnishings amount to 830 kg/m², or 1.1 x 10¹⁶ kg for the entire colony. (Note, if one assumes that no such load is placed on the window areas, then the total mass for the furnishings is halved. This assumption is reasonable, but less conservative and not used here.)
